Financial Aid through the University of Oklahoma

Thomas J. White Forum, University of Oklahoma OutreachStudent may apply for financial aid through the University of Oklahoma’s Office of Financial Aid Services.  Graduate students are eligible to receive student loans to cover the costs of attending graduate school and must be officially admitted to their degree program, pursuing a degree, enrolled at least half-time (5 credit hours), and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

To receive financial aid:

  • Apply to the University of Oklahoma

  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

  • Complete OU financial aid forms by logging on to My OU Financial Aid at www.financialaid.ou.edu/ap/ 

  • Become admitted to your OU program

  • Contact the Office of Financial Aid Services (405-325-2929) to alert them of your admission status

  • Enroll in your courses (this is used to verify that you will take classes in the upcoming semester)

  • Patiently wait for your financial aid package to be processed (approximately 4-6 weeks)

  • Select your lending institution and the amount of money you would like to borrow

  • Complete any additional forms to receive your money through direct deposit or the mail
